Month One

Sweet baby boy has been with us for one month and what a little blessing he is to our family. Ivy has given him the name "little man" but you will also hear us call him "bubbers" quit often:) This first month has been a learning experience for us as new foster parents. There are a lot of people involved in this little one's life including case workers, specialists, doctors, attorneys (just to name a few) and the past 30 days have been full of meetings and appointments in order for us to get to know these individuals and for them to get to know baby boy. Life will begin to slow down a bit now that these appointments will not be as frequent so come July I am going to start accepting a few half hour shoots here and there. I wanted to add just how proud I have been of my daughter Ivy this past month. I had a feeling that bringing a baby to our home would have a positive effect on her but I didn't realize it would be this good! Not only has she been an amazing helper but her sweet little heart has just opened up to this boy! She wants to constantly be near him and snuggle up close and she has said more than once that she loves having a foster baby:) It is the most beautiful thing to witness and I am just so thankful for her loving spirit towards this child. I thought that maybe the excitement and helpful attitude would wear off after the first few weeks but she has kept it up and I am one proud momma! Here is just a glimpse of one of the many sweet moments these two have shared.
